چکیده
Background: Freshwater in sufficient quantity and adequate quality is a prerequisite for human societies natural ecosystems. To adequately feed 9.3 billion people 2050, consumptive water use (i.e. transpired water) by all food fodder crops needs to increase from its present estimated level of 7000 km3/year 12,586 km3/year. However, fresh resources are increasingly getting scarce because increased competition among multitude users. Getting agriculture perform with progressively smaller allocation renewable will remain challenge on global scale. meet the there an urgent need improve crop productivity ensure sustainability agriculture. Methods: An experiment was carried out at village Menawali, Hanumangarh, Rajasthan during both kharif rabi seasons assess productivity, economics, N-uptake different crops. area 187 ha comprising 25 farmers irrigated common irrigation channels were selected collect information. The information required i.e. soil, management, growth, phonological, yields, balance, efficiency each collected 15 farmers. Bt-cotton clusterbean wheat Indian mustard prominent crops, cotton-wheat, cotton-mustard, clusterbean-wheat clusterbean-mustard major cropping sequences study region. Result: In season, gave higher economic yields than amongst season 4255, 1778 kg/ha, respectively. yield varied 3741-6514 kg/ha cotton-wheat (6218 kg/ha), intermediate (5785 kg/ha) lower cotton-mustard (3741 (3308 kg/ha). (₹1181.2 mm) sequence had highest use. Clusterbean-wheat system recorded (16.5 followed (14.9 mm). (₹456/ha most profitable fetched net return (₹383/ha

Role of soil fertility management on productivity of sesame and cowpea under different cropping systems
ABSTRACT- Declining land productivity associated with decreasing soil organic carbon and nutrients is a significant issue in monoculture production. The field experiment with different rates of fertilizer systems (60 kg ha-1 N + 100 kg ha-1 P, 300 kg ha-1 Bio-organic (organic fertilizer), 3 kg ha-1 Bioumik (biofertilizer), 30 kg ha-1 N + 50 kg ha-1 P + 150 kg ha-1 Bio-organic fertilizer and 30...
متن کاملConsideration of Water Productivity for Farm Water Management in Different Conditions of Water Availability for Dominant Summer Crops
ABSTRACT- Efficient use of irrigation water for summer crops should be considered seriously due to rare occurrence of precipitation in summer. This research was focused on the assessment of water use efficiency for dominant crops of summer cropping pattern in the study area (i.e., maize and rice) via considering water productivity (WP) with different water management scenarios at farm level at ...

15 صفحه اولCrop Establishment, tillage and Water Management Technologies on Crop and Water Productivity in Rice-wheat Cropping System of North West India
Rice receives a large amount of water during land preparation and the growing period, causing poor crop water productivity and lower net benefits. In wheat, excessive tillage operations delay its sowing, resulting in low yields and net returns. Dry seeding of rice and zero tillage in wheat can be expected to reduce water inputs and tillage costs compared with the conventional system of rice-whe...
متن کاملEnhancing economic water productivity under on farm reservoirs in diversified rainfed cropping systems
A long term study was done to assess the impact of on farm reservoirs (OFR) on oil seedand cereal based cropping systems with vegetables (okra, tomato and carrot) in semi-aridalfisol of southern Telangana region. Two supplemental irrigation (SI) depths (30 and 50 mm)from OFR with raingun system were studied for assessing the water productivity andprofitability of the technology in these croppin...
